About Universiti Malaysia Kelantan
Visit Official WebsiteUniversiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK) is the 19th public university in Malaysia, established by the Federal Cabinet on 14 June 2006 and officially commencing operations in 2007. UMK holds a distinctive mandate within Malaysia's public higher education ecosystem as an entrepreneurship-focused university under the visionary motto "Entrepreneurship is Our Thrust" (Keusahawanan Teras Kemajuan). Rather than treating business skills as an isolated major, UMK integrates enterprise education, innovation prototyping, incubator mentorship, and commercialization competencies across all academic disciplines—spanning veterinary medicine, creative heritage, data computing, architecture, earth sciences, and agro-based industries. UMK operates three specialized campuses across the state of Kelantan: Kampus Bachok (the administrative headquarters and creative-technology hub), Kampus Kota in Pengkalan Chepa (home to entrepreneurship, business, hospitality, and veterinary medicine), and Kampus Jeli (situated amidst rich tropical biodiversity for agro-industry, earth sciences, and bioengineering).
