About Riga Graduate School of Law
Founded in 1998 through an international agreement between the governments of Latvia and Sweden, the Riga Graduate School of Law (Rīgas Juridiskā augstskola / RGSL) is the Baltic region’s premier specialized higher education institution dedicated exclusively to international law, diplomacy, legal technology, and business jurisprudence. Operating in close partnership with the University of Latvia (LU) and co-located with the Stockholm School of Economics in Riga (SSE Riga), RGSL delivers 100% English-taught undergraduate (LL.B.) and postgraduate (LL.M.) degrees that attract students and scholars from over 30 countries worldwide. Located on Strēlnieku iela 4k-2 in central Riga’s UNESCO-listed Art Nouveau Quiet Centre (Klusais centrs), RGSL features state-of-the-art moot court facilities, digital legal technology laboratories, and the region’s most extensive specialized international law library. Known for small-group Socratic seminar instruction, internationally recognized faculty comprising European court judges and senior diplomats, and flagship intergovernmental capacity-building programmes for Eastern Partnership and Central Asian civil servants, RGSL sets the benchmark for European legal education in Northern Europe.
