About National Defence Academy of Latvia
Founded originally in 1919 as the historic Latvian War School (Kara skola) during the Latvian War of Independence and re-established on February 13, 1992 following the restoration of national independence, the National Defence Academy of Latvia (Latvijas Nacionālā aizsardzības akadēmija - NAA) is the sole institution of higher military education and commissioned officer preparation in the Republic of Latvia.
