About Hanshin University
Visit Official WebsiteHanshin University (한신대학교 / HSU) is a historic private comprehensive university founded in 1940 as Chosun Theological Seminary under the visionary leadership of Reverend Kim Jae-jun and the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea (PROK). Renowned in Korean contemporary history as the intellectual cradle of South Korea's democratization movement, civil liberties advocacy, and Minjung theology, Hanshin has evolved from its theological foundation into a progressive, integrated comprehensive university celebrated nationwide for Software and Artificial Intelligence (Ministry of Science & ICT SW-Centered University), Global Business and Cross-Border Trade, Social Welfare and Rehabilitation Sciences, Korean Culture and Digital Contents Creation, and Peace and Unification Studies. Hanshin operates a seamless two-campus model: the expansive, suburban Osan Main Campus in Gyeonggi-do (housing undergraduate colleges in IT, business, humanities, human services, and engineering, located 20 minutes from Suwon and 50 minutes from Gangnam via Seoul Subway Line 1 at Byeongjeom Station), and the contemplative Seoul Campus situated in Suyu-dong at the foot of Mount Bukhansan (housing the Graduate School of Theology, the Graduate School of Peace and Unification Studies, and international ecumenical research institutes).
