Visit Official WebsiteHanseo University (한서대학교 / HSU) is a specialized private research university based in Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea. Founded in 1992 by Dr. Ham Ki-sun under the founding ethos of 'Creativity, Faith, and Contribution', Hanseo holds a unique reputation across East Asia as a premier training institution for civil aviation, aeronautics, and maritime leisure. It is one of the few universities in Asia operating its own fully certified commercial airfield and flight training infrastructure (Taean Airfield), complete with an operational asphalt runway, air traffic control tower, a fleet of over 50 trainer aircraft (Cessna 172s, multi-engine Beechcraft King Airs, and Citation business jets), and an on-site Boeing 737 airliner for hands-on maintenance and cabin crew training. Alongside civil aviation and flight operations, Hanseo is widely recognized for maritime leisure sports, vehicle and industrial design, and allied health and medical sciences (including state-accredited Nursing, Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and CCEA-accredited Chiropractic Medicine). The university operates two distinct campuses: the picturesque Seosan Main Campus near Mount Gaya for administration, design, engineering, and health sciences, and the coastal Taean Campus inside Taean Maritime National Park as a dedicated aeronautical and marine education hub.
