If you’re an international student in Austria, you may need permission to work depending on your visa or residence permit type. Students holding a Student Residence Permit can work part-time during studies under specific conditions.

Work rights are not automatically granted with your student residence permit. You must comply with Austrian labor regulations and, in some cases, register with the Public Employment Service (AMS) or your university for part-time work permission.
